Get Messy and Muddy

Join a very small group of 3 people for a weekend dedicated to exploring the tactile world of clay. You'll have the opportunity to:

• Learn the basics of throwing pots on the potter's wheel

• Experiment with different decoration techniques and styles

• Create unique pieces that reflect your personal touch

• Enjoy the therapeutic benefits of working with your hands

   

What to Expect

This weekend workshop is perfect for all skill levels, whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience. In a small group of only 3 people, you'll get my undivided attention through each step of the pottery-making process, ensuring you leave with your own handcrafted creations.

 

During the first day of the weekend (10 AM - 4 PM), you will learn how to wedge your clay to extract air bubbles, how to center on the wheel and how to throw the most important shape in ceramics: the cylinder ! 

 

During the second day (10.30 AM - 4 PM), you will learn how to trim the items you would have thrown the day before to create the 'foot' or 'bum' of your pot. We will also look at adding a handle of you want so that you can make a mug out of the cylinders you'd have created.  

 

We will use speckled clay that I will glaze with a transparent glaze after your masterpieces have been fired. About 3 weeks later, you'll be able to come and collect your pieces. I'll email you once available.

 

• Saturday: from 10 am to 4 pm (1-hour lunch break)

• Sunday: from 10:30 am to 4 pm (1-hour lunch break and a glass of Cava to end the day beautifully)

   

You will be able to collect your items about 4 weeks later. Shipping can be an option, depending on the country.

 

What the Price Includes

The price includes all materials, unlimited hot and cold beverages as well as a glass of Cava on Sunday Afternoon. 3 items will be glazed and fired that you will collect about 4 weeks later. Should you want to fire more items, it is possible for an additional cost of 10 EUR/item.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

The workshop price is calculated to be as fair as possible, so a sufficient number of participants is required to cover costs, and registration is a commitment. However, we have the following policies in place:

·       If you cancel up to 30 days before the event: full refund (minus €2 booking fee)

.·       If you cancel up to 15 days before the event: 50% refund (minus €2 booking fee).

·       After this period, no refunds can be issued, regardless of the reason. However, you may transfer your spot to another person. If so, please inform me via email as soon as possible.

 

If the workshop is canceled by the organizer (due to insufficient participants or force majeure), it will be rescheduled. I commit to offering new dates first to those already registered. Alternatively, a refund can be requested if the proposed dates do not suit you. Thank you for your understanding.
